Yes, Dougie you are correct. A great shot of U-848! You can bet the tower watch was cleaning their pants after that one!! Did U848 survive the attack? Thanks for the great shot Panther!

Sounds like you're familiar with this picture? Or do you just know every U-boat by sight. Although with your knowledge of the subject I don't think I'ld be all that surprised if you did! Have to include Dan into that last statement also. You two sure know your stuff.

Thanks for the Comments but I don't know every Boot by site! I have done my homework, but I learn new things all the time. That is why I enjoy this fourm so much. To talk with you and Dougie has been a great honor and a gret help for me in my model projects.

No, I don't know boats by sight! Just have good sources, that's all.

U 848 was lost in this attack, with all hands. There was a lengthy gun battle before the boat was sunk by bombs from several aircraft.
