Hi Peter,

Great to hear you have them safely. Yes, they are pretty small! And that makes them difficult to see. But they are in the ABCDEF order (left to right) that is one the site.

I tested the decals with different setting solutions and they all worked fine. If you don't have setting solution you will be fine without it. Not something to worry about.

But do remember, as always, to add the decals onto to a gloss surface. This is important! It means no silvering and with the AMP decals very good adhesion. When you add a matt varnish over the top this helps to seal everything in and protect them.

Best of luck,

Dougie

If I may explain about decals and a gloss surface;  While most military models are painted in a flat or matt color they are anything but flat. If you looked at a flat painted surface under magnification you will see it looks more like a mountain range with peaks and valleys, when you place the decal on a flat painted surface the decal sets on the tops of the peaks and allows light to pass through and this light then reflects off the valleys and passes out the decal again causing whats known as silvering. To get a nice smooth and more importantly truely flat surface for decaling you should apply a gloss overcoat to any flat surface you want to decal, in the states we have Testor's Gloss Cote that you spray on the surface, then after drying you simply place the decals, flatten out with a soft cloth to remove any air bubbles trapped under the decal and you are set. If done right you won't even need any setting solutions as long as the surface doesn't have any panel lines or indentations of some sort or the other. If you can't get Gloss Cote, and this is what I prefer to use, is acrylic floor wax, in the states Future Floor Wax is the one to get. Hope this helps Trigger.

Thanks for the advice. I'll make sure I have one of the suggestions at hand before I start this.

You'll find the extra step well worth it, remember to let either the Gloss Cote or floor wax dry at least 24 hours before applying decals.
