Correct Josef I just got done reading the book "U-boat Ace" by Jordan Vause. Even though his funeral was one week after the war in Europe ended, the allies allowed Doenitz to give Luth a Third Reich funeral complete with swastika flag and six Knights Cross winners as pall bearers.
Your turn Josef.

Ehm... Actually a friend gave me the answer, as a result of it he'll ask the next question:
Which ship did Dönitz work at first days of the First World War? (He is asking the Turkish name of her)

I have to "Tip" my hat to your friend, that was a very good question. Maybe your friend would like to join our crew?

Another "Who Am I"
I was Gunther Prien's 1WO at Scapa Flow, I was also the one who painted the now famous "Snorting Bull" emblem on the conning tower on the way back from Scapa Flow.
On 22 May 1940 I took command of U-46. On my first patrol I sank five ships including an auxillary cruiser. On my second patrol I also sank five ships and again one was an auxillary cruiser.
My awards include the Knights Cross w/oak leaves and the U-boat War Badge w/Diamonds
Died 21 Dec. 1941

His surname is Endrass. I remembered him from Les Loups de l'Admiral by Jean Noli (Wolves of Admiral). But i can't remember the fist name...
