Well, I read over U47.org many months ago, every article. Didn't realize there was so much here until I'd finished it. Either two or three months ago, I bought "Kriegsmarine U-Boats 1939-45" by Chris Bishop. Read through that as well.
Then two days ago I bought Silent Hunter III, picked it up for twenty dollars out of a nearby EB Games with a copy of Faces of War ($13.35) and I paid for it all with a giftcard I got on Christmas Morning. Good deal. I'd played the Silent Hunter series long ago, as well as Silent Hunter II. Bloody well enthralled with the game again, completed most of the tutorials and am now about to deal with the Convoy Attack training operation.
Halfway through the Naval Gunnery exam, I realized: "Wait a minute... Rick also runs U47.org. Hell, I should go sign up there. Whoa - fuel tankers blow up real big."
So here I am. Originally from PanzerAce.net, under the same username. I see I'm in good company with Panther44 and a few others... so where's the SS-Oberstgruppenführer, Kamerad Panther?

Just introduce them to the glory that is SH3! If I can snag it for a twenty-note at EB Games, the "Gouging-est Place on Earth," then it's readily available elsewheres for less.
Hmm... Bobby, lost at sea? Probably no worse than being MIA on the Ostfront! Ah well, at least we're used to it. Thanks for the welcome, alte kamerad.
