the baby in yellow is
not a horror game with continuous blood or jumpscares,
but it makes players shiver with mystery, strangeness and
unpredictability. Under the seemingly simple cover of
babysitting, the game gradually opens up a ghostly world,
where the innocence of the child is what scares you the
most.
The baby with empty eyes
Right from the start, you realize that the child you have
to take care of is different from everyone else. Its
soulless eyes, cold smile and unusual silence are enough
to make players uneasy. But what's even scarier is it
knows what you're doing, and it seems like it doesn't
want you to leave.
The house is never quiet.
It seems like you're just in a small apartment with a few
rooms, but the more you play, the space begins to change:
doors open and close by themselves, walls crack, and
secret tunnels appear. Sometimes when you turn around,
everything is completely different—space seems to be bent
according to the will of an invisible force.
Strange objects and black magic
Inside the house there are many mysterious details: magic
books, charms, ancient symbols... If you take the time to
observe and explore, you will see that this child is not
only "strange" but is related to a dark ritual or an
ancient supernatural entity.
When the child no longer lies still
You will be startled when you just put it on the bed,
turn your back and it is behind you or floating in the
air with glowing eyes. There are times when you think you
are "doing a mission," but in fact you are being
controlled by the child's will.
The black cat and the space gate
In the expansions, The Black Cat—a mysterious cat
appears, taking you to another dimension. Here, all the
laws of physics are reversed. You face hallucinations,
puzzles and chases in a world that you no longer control.
Psychological horror rather than scares
What makes The Baby in Yellow scary is not the bloody
images, but the feeling of losing control and being
constantly watched. Players always feel that something is
wrong but cannot explain it clearly. It is that ambiguity
and insecurity that is the biggest fear.
The Baby in Yellow is not simply a babysitting game—it is
a terrifying psychological journey where you have to face
the fear of the most seemingly harmless things. If you
are a fan of unique, deep horror games with deep
storylines, this is definitely a game you should not
miss.
