   I once heard that Prien's wife gave him a mauve scarf of hers, and that he always wore that scarf on patrol. Can anyone confirm this.

Yes, I have heard of this too. Are there any photos of him wearing ths? that would also make a great line in a movie as well. ..... Hmm....
