Single-chamber double-glazed Windows
The thickness of a single-chamber double-glazed window (two sheets of glass and a cavity between them) is within 14-32 mm. The space between the glasses on the
perimeter is closed by a metal strip that separates the glasses and holds them at a given distance — a remote frame. In the section, you can see that the frame is
not a strip, but a "P"-shaped profile directed with the open side inside the frame.

In the lower part of the frame, small diameter holes are made connecting the chamber and a special sealed volume inside the frame, in which the moisture absorber
is filled. As a result of the action of the absorbent, moisture is almost completely removed from the chamber and the window does not fog up at any temperature
outside.

But single-camera packages are considered obsolete. They are installed on not too responsible Windows in unheated areas, on balconies, loggias, in shops,
industrial premises, etc. In residential buildings, more complex structures are used — two-chamber (three sheets of glass and two cavities between them).

They are somewhat heavier than single-chamber ones, but the efficiency of heat and noise insulation exceeds them by almost twice. In this case, the light
transmission capacity of both structures is approximately the same.
