Half of the classes in vanilla didn't want their tier gear because it was uninspiring or was not compatible with WOW TBC Gold their spec (feral Druid, DPS warrior, etc). In my opinion, all gear from tiers in vanilla is decent, and some even go as far as bis. Overall I'm of the opinion that there's less need to wait for tier gear to be decently geared.
In the case of mc, for example, there's a few upgrades for the feral tank. And some were extremely sought after (accuria and the agi-cloak off the rag). Tier gear was not useful other aside from a few pieces that were suitable for a fire resist tank set. Other items dropped (heavy iron ring in dark brown, fireguard shoulders) weren't sold as there was no buy WOW Classic Burning Crusade Gold demand for them so it wasn't all that interesting.
