It's technically still possible to do this in the most recent version of 2K22 however there's an added wrinkle to this process. In order to actually get your VC and badges from the game, you must win the game each time.
Now, open up your MyCareer, specifically on a brand new profile that's got past the first instructions, and then head to Brickley's Gym it's located on your City map. In the building, start your first game by speaking with the NPC inside. Right after your badge progress gets loaded at the end the match, quit out in the middle of your game.
Reload, and 2K22 MT immediately accelerate your speed when you hit the bumper to the right. If the glitch is done right, you'll see that it's still playing like you've never played that game, but you'll still earn any badges or VC you earned from the previous victory. Keep playing in your very first round, keep winning and take advantage of the winnings.
