Gentlemen,

He was a commander of two destroyers named Z25 and Z28. Later he became commander of Destroyer Flottilla No.8. After World War II, he was Vizeadmiral in the Bundesmarine. According to "Die Generale und Admirale der Bundeswehr 1955-1999", his full name was Christian Heinrich Karl Wilhelm Ernst Gerlach. Well to be really honest,I'm not sure if his whole full name is correct. Quite a few sources said that Heinrich is his first name. Something smells fishy in the waters of the name department.
