Cool. I still try to justify a 600 km ride to Kiel in Germany to go and see the U-995 that is on display there. Also the moeltenort memorial is there.

Hi!

The U-505 is really nice now. My father really loves going there!

When we go to Germany in 2008, I would like to visit U-995 and the Memorial there too.

I'm only about a four hour drive from Chicago but I never seem to get there. But if I do this would be my first stop. Now all I have to do is convince the wife that she wants to spend the day looking over a U-boat.

Hi Again!

Now that they have given U-505 a restoration, and placed it inside it's own Pen, it is really nice. They did a great job going over it. Even used the correct colours and redid the Emblems. It is truly well worth the visit. I beleive your wife might even enjoy it.
