Prizes not claimed within 180 after a drawing are
forfeited, and the winnings are credited to the
lottery¡¯s property tax relief fund.The ticket for the
Jan. 11 drawing was purchased at Main Street Mini Mart,
1698 Main St.
The odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1 in
913,130, officials said.
While it¡¯s unusual for major lottery prizes to go
unclaimed, it does happen.
In July 2019, a ticket worth $100,000, bought in Menasha,
went unclaimed. And on May 7, the owner of a ticket worth
$50,000 failed to come forward before the deadline.
