Graeme McDowell has opted not to play in this week's
Wells Fargo Championship after a lackluster showing at
the Zurich Classic.
The Northern Irishman finished a full 14 shots off Jason
Dufner's taylormade r11s driver winning total and has
decided to instead rest and recuperate ahead of next
week's Players Championship.
"With my upcoming busy schedule, I have withdrawn from
the Wells Fargo event this week," he tweeted.
"I was a little under the weather both physically and
with my game last week. Very much wanted to play Quail
Hollow, but didn't want to go there undercooked.
