Nous avons ri ¨¤ travers nos larmes et nous nous sommes ¨¦treints. Cela avait ¨¦t¨¦ une journ¨¦e tr¨¨s difficile et j'¨¦tais ¨¦tonn¨¦ de voir ¨¤ quel point c'¨¦tait bon de voir des amis. Pouvoir faire de la randonn¨¦e avec April a fait fondre toutes les difficult¨¦s des jours pr¨¦c¨¦dents. J'¨¦tais toujours d¨¦termin¨¦ ¨¤ terminer le parcours, m¨ºme si je devais boiter jusqu'au bout. J'¨¦tais pr¨ºt ¨¤ faire face ¨¤ la douleur et aux heures de traitement mental parce que tout le reste se sentait bien. Mes muscles ne se sont jamais fatigu¨¦s. Mes niveaux d'¨¦nergie ¨¦taient d¨¦cents malgr¨¦ le manque de sommeil. Ce que j'avais endur¨¦ ces derniers jours et plus de 160 kilom¨¨tres m'avait redonn¨¦ confiance en moi. Je savais que j'avais ce qu'il faudrait pour terminer ce FKT.
Mais mon tibia avait d'autres plans. Alors que April et moi faisions de la randonn¨¦e, il est devenu de plus en plus clair que quelque chose de sinistre se passait. J'avais ¨¤ peine parcouru quatre milles et j'ai de nouveau ¨¦t¨¦ ralenti. Nike Cortez D¨¢msk¨¦ J'avais huit milles ¨¤ parcourir jusqu'au prochain passage ¨¤ niveau. Plus je faisais de la randonn¨¦e, plus les chances de terminer le parcours s'amenuisaient. Au mieux, je ne pouvais maintenant me d¨¦placer qu'¨¤ deux milles ¨¤ l'heure. Je ne pouvais pas imaginer couvrir les 160+ miles qu'il me restait pour ¨ºtre en mesure de briser le FKT global actuel de six jours, huit heures et 30 minutes. M¨ºme le simple fait de terminer pour ¨¦tablir le record de vitesse des femmes en tout temps n'¨¦tait plus une option viable. ¨¦couter mon corps et en prendre soin ¨¦tait plus important. J'avais peut-¨ºtre la capacit¨¦ et la volont¨¦ de terminer, mais arr¨ºter ¨¦tait la bonne chose ¨¤ faire.
Savoir quand s'arr¨ºter est tout aussi important que de savoir quand continuer. Je ne suis pas la m¨ºme personne qui a commenc¨¦ cette aventure il y a un an. ¨ºtre ¨¤ l'aise n'est pas le but de la vie. Il s'agit de nous permettre de briser nos barri¨¨res auto-impos¨¦es et de r¨¦aliser le potentiel de ce dont nous sommes capables. Il s'agit d'explorer l'espace au-del¨¤ de l'endroit o¨´ notre cerveau nous dit de nous arr¨ºter. Il s'agit de grandir psychologiquement, ¨¦motionnellement et m¨ºme spirituellement en traversant la fronti¨¨re du facile.
J¡¯ai appris que je n¡¯ai pas ¨¤ avoir peur des grands objectifs avec des taux de r¨¦ussite apparemment impossibles car avoir le courage d¡¯essayer est un succ¨¨s en Nike Air Max Command Damen soi.
