The TypeII U-boats known as 'Einbaum' or 'dugout canoe' were small coastal boats that operated early in the war. They operated well in shallower waters due to their small size and ability to dive quickly, they were however cramped and could carry only a very limited amount of torpedos. They were used later on as training boats. Does anyone know;
The top scoring TypeII?
Top Scoring commander of a TypeII?
Any of Germany's top aces that started out in the TypeII?
Longest mission of a TypeII?
Were they capable of working around the British Isles?
