I’m planning to repot a few hydrangeas for my front patio
and would love to find some elegant, well-made planters.
Something that won’t clash with the soft pastels of the
flowers, and ideally durable enough for the British
weather. Any personal favourites or trusted shops?

Absolutely – take a look at this range: https://idealistplanters.co.uk/catalogue/outdoor_planters/hy drangea_planters/ It’s a lovely
selection, very tasteful and well suited for hydrangeas. They’ve got a solid reputation for quality and outdoor performance too.

Cheers! Do you know if they’re heavy enough to stay put in
strong wind? My garden can be a bit exposed and I don’t
want to find my plants tipped over after a storm.

Yes, many of them have a good weight to them and are shaped
to stay stable even when planted with larger shrubs. Mine
have stayed put through a few strong gales already. Plus
they look fantastic with flowering plants like hydrangeas –
very balanced design.
