Hello All!

I am now working on a new diorama of U-201. I am doing this in 1/72. I have converted a Revell kit to waterline and have depicted U-201 on its return from it's first patrol to America in August 1942. It was then that Schnee was awarded the Knights Cross . It was also U-201's longest patrol of 56 days.  The Boot will have a crew mustered on the deck  as well. 

I have the Boot almost completed. I am working on the cable instalation now. I plan also to have the oak leaves around the Tower top edge, and an oak branch on the P-scope. Let you know how it goes.

Hello All!

Progress Report on U-201 Diorama.

The basic model is now complete. I have just  bought an old model of a brick factory which I plan to use as a backdrop for the U-201 diorama. I plan to put it along the habour line with a girl leaning out wavying to the U-Boat as it goes by. Remember the scene from Das Boot?

Been to Moeltenort again. This time I took pictures of the whole memorial. I took a seperate shot of the U-201 memorial tile part...

Might be interesting to make the story complete :)
